Established in 2021, Dear Papa Hayes, LLC is a veteran + woman owned children’s book company, located about 25 miles from Washington, DC. The company was created in loving memory of the Owner’s grandfather - Milford Lee Hayes, Sr. - affectionately called Papa.

Destiny Phillip is an independently published author. Born and raised in Waterbury, CT, Destiny graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (BA) and Florida State University (MS). With the support of her husband - an ARMY Veteran - and their energetic son, Destiny wrote and published 7 children’s books, which are sold at independent bookstores in the US and abroad; museums; and online at Target and Walmart.
